CUSTOMIZED NIKE iD

Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM iD Women's Shoe

Over the weekend I decided to do some sneaker shopping, I wanted to try out a customized pair of sneakers from Nike. I havebeen obsessing over a particular color and style for a few weeks, so I finally decided to make a purchase. I'm not really a "sneaker girl" so I needed to find something comfortable yet still stylish, as a good alternative to heels and stilettos. Customizing from Nike was fairly simple, pick your shoe and select the color of your choice. Pretty simple, right? Well for me it became a hour long process, I wanted an exact sneaker and a specific color, many of the sneakers I created didn't featured the Solar Red color option. I finally landed on the Air Max 90's and the color option was available, several customized shoe creations later.

The only negative, I am a instant gratification type of gal, I'm fine with a few days for shipping, but these are going to take a while... 38 days to be exact. A small bonus in term of shipping is that anything over $75.00 is eligible for free shipping. So I'm currently counting down the days til my Air Max 90's arrive, 37 more to go!

If you have some time, play around with the Nike iD feature it's pretty cool. And the idea of wearing something you customized is even cooler right? Right!

MUST HAVES TO UPDATE YOUR SPRING WARDROBE

Sunnies: Camille's Closet | Laser Cut-Out Sandals: Just Fab | Bright Jeans: American Apparel | Denim Shirt Dress: Diesel | Mermaid Maxi: Shoxie | Floral Body Con Dress: Topshop | Bold Coral Lippie: Makeup Forever | Fun Kicks: Steve Madden | Bright Bag: Alexander Wang

Finally the weather is matching the season, now we can break out the sandals and set some time away for pedi appointments. It seems like overnight the weather switched from winter to summer, but you won't hears any complaints from me about the warmer weather. Let's all make way for the new season by making some simple updates to our closets.
  • A fun pair of eye catching sunnies will keep you in style, grab a pair that's adorned with something girly; like pearls.
  • Laser cut out sandals in bold colors are a great update to, boyfriend jeans and transitional dresses.
  • Pair pastel colored denim with other spring season neutrals like; peach, ivory, white or light grey.
  •  Light weight chambray shirt dresses are life savers, making deciding what to wear simple and quick, saving you time to enjoy the sunny days.
  • Mermaids Maxi skirts are great for the days you're trying to look pulled together, without over doing it.
  • Floral (anything) is springs must have pattern. Floral print and the sexy fit of a bodycon dress, is the perfect way to display all the hard work you've put in at the gym.
  • A peachy coral pout is the perfect spring accessory, and will be a must have color for day or night.
  • Fun updated sneakers in unexpected fabrics like leopard will make any blah outfit POP!!
  • It's time to retire your black and brown "everyday bag" for a bright colored "goes with everything bag"!
Now, that we have our closets Spring-erised (get it.... like winterised), let's enjoy the great weather!

WAIT!!! I do have one small complaint!! I HATE the POLLEN, it drives me crazy and makes my allergies go haywire.

Spring Cleansing

It's time for some much needed spring cleaning and I'm not referring to tidying up your home. One of my weekly beauty products is the Clarisonic Mia  facial cleanser. I have read lots of reviews on different cleansers and this one seemed to be the best, so I added it to my Christmas wishlist last year and Santa delivered. After trying my cleanser out for a few weeks I noticed my skin looked great and felt cleaner.

My normal routine is using my cleanser 3 times a week to help with blemishes and other problem areas.  I wouldn't recommend using this cleanser on a daily basis, if you have some funky things going on with your skin a dermatologist would be a better option. However, If you're looking to up your skincare regimen with a great cleaner and exfoliator check this cleanser out.

A few of my immediate results were:
  • My skin felt very clean
  • Blemishes were less noticeable
  • The smoothness of my skin
  • Makeup application seemed much smoother and my makeup looked more refreshed
What are some of your skincare secrets?

SPRING PASTELS

photos via Pinterest

Lots of celebrities have been seen sporting the pastel trend, Nicole Richie and Kelly Osborne have colored their hair pale purple. If you're like me, not bold enough to dye your hair pastel; just grab the trend in something less permanent, like the images above.

Finally spring is here, now I can breakout the floral, and pastel!! Stay tuned for my take on the pastel trend!

Out The BLUE

Shirt: Tory Burch {similar here} | Skirt: thrifted {similar} | Shoes: Shoedazzle {similar here}  | Purse: Forever 21 {old - similar here}| Belt: thrifted {similar here} | Bracelets: Forever 21 {old - similar here}

Here's a quick little outfit post to get you guys through the rainy days. I think this is the perfect career girl outfit, and would be great for the office. This skirt (a thrift find) is really similar to one I saw at J Crew a while back, but much more affordable.  I love the bright color of the skirt, the box pleated belt loops and the pockets.

With spring being right around the corner, I'm running to my closet to find anything with color. Bring on the spring weather already!

On a past post I shared some of my thrift shopping tips, check it out here. Hopefully my tips can help you when you're looking to save a few pennies.
